About Mälardalen International School (MISV)

Mälardalen International School was founded by Industritekniska Gymnasiet AB´s owner Fredrik Svensson in close collaboration with Northvolt, Hitachi and Västerås municipality. We believe high quality education is the most important aspect for a sustainable future.

Candidate School

Mälardalen International School is a Candidate School for the PYP (Primary Years Programme) and the MYP ( Middle Years Programme). This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Mälardalen International School believes is important for our students. Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
