Our International School opened in January 2022 and has from the start provided an enriching and nurturing environment for students from across the globe. At Mälardalen International School in Västerås, near Eskilstuna we offer a high-education to all our students with a mission to create an IB world school that creates caring, knowledgeable and independent individuals. Our International School near Eskilstuna is an IB Candidate School which means that we provide educational programs to students, with the aim of fostering a better and more harmonious world. Our two programs are designed to challenge students and encourage their personal growth.
In a constantly evolving world, we recognize the significance of cultivating skills, fostering critical thinking, upholding democratic values, and promoting sustainability as a vital groundwork.
Traveling between cities should be easy and functional. Especially when living and working in two different places at the same time. Traveling from Västerås to the Central Station in Eskilstuna takes about 42 minutes by car and 33 minutes by train. So when we say that our international school is nearby Eskilstuna, we really mean it.
If not traveling by car, it is both practical and easy to wave your children goodbye for the day and continue to reach your destination with a 14 minutes bus from MISV to the Central Station in Västerås. In total, it takes about a maximum of 50 minutes to reach Eskilstuna from Mälardalen International School by traveling with bus or train.
Starting a new life in a different country or city can be just as exciting as beginning a new school year. In Västerås, there are many things to do that mix learning, fun and entertainment for both parents and kids.
Explore Västerås interesting history by visiting Västerås Castle, travel back in time at Anundshög Ancient Burial Ground or check out ancient rock carvings at Sigurdsristningen. On rainy days, you can have fun at Kokpunkten Water Park or learn new things at the Mälardalen University Museum. Västerås offers plenty of activities for the whole family, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
